Slideshows About 6 Black Heroes:
Angela Davis

Davis is a very masterful scholar, student, professor, speaker and author. Her activism has had a powerful and widespread influence around the globe and throughout more than just her professional life. She has always held to the values of social, political and economic equality among all peoples of the world and she represents other eccentric but highly honorable principles as well – someone has to take action on that basis and she is one of that nobility. As somewhat a generalist, she teaches critical thinking, race and social consciousness, and the philosophy of punishment and prisons. The alteration in the present of the latter of these is a central, deeply important part of her spirit and work. Her belief in socialism is deeply connected with her activism for racial equality. She has been the recipient of titles of honor and degrees around the world. As far as racial equality she is owner to the challenging experience many blacks struggle with all over the planet. She spent some time in prison. She was fired as a professor because of her beliefs. Famous musicians like John Lennon/Yoko Ono and the Rolling Stones crafted songs about her and organized thousands of her followers as part of a great social movement that sprung from one of her jail sentences…Enjoy a visual experience learning more about her in HD below!
